FanDuel Football & Golf

When FanDuel expanded its YouTube presence into dedicated Football and Golf channels, I helped build both channels from the ground up. Although they existed under the same brand, each served a different audience with unique viewing habits, publishing rhythms, and content priorities.

My role extended across the YouTube production process, including editing, publishing, packaging, metadata optimization, and audience analysis. While the full shows were produced collaboratively, I owned the creative execution of the clips distributed across each channel, determining how individual moments were presented for YouTube audiences.

Working across both channels reinforced one of the biggest lessons I've learned about YouTube. Every audience is different, but building trust, consistency, and a reason to return matters regardless of the subject.

Selected Work

A selection of YouTube Shorts produced and published for the FanDuel Golf YouTube channel, showcasing tournament coverage, betting insights, and audience focused packaging tailored to a niche sports community.

FanDuel Football Betting YouTube

The FanDuel Football channel was built around NFL news, betting analysis, predictions, and recurring content throughout the season. Because football moves quickly, every upload had to balance speed with quality while competing in an extremely crowded space.

My Role

I managed the YouTube production workflow for individual clips from scripting support through editing, publishing, packaging, metadata optimization, and performance analysis. Once full shows were complete, I determined which moments translated best into standalone YouTube videos and packaged them for the platform.

I also monitored channel performance to understand how thumbnails, titles, publishing decisions, and viewer behavior influenced future uploads.

Results

The Football channel launched from zero and became FanDuel's dedicated destination for NFL content. Throughout the season, I helped establish a consistent publishing workflow while contributing to the channel's growth through optimization, packaging, and audience focused publishing decisions.

What I Learned

Football taught me that consistency alone isn't enough. In a competitive environment where multiple channels cover the same stories, packaging becomes part of the product. Every title, thumbnail, and publishing decision shapes whether viewers choose your video and whether they return for the next one.

FanDuel Golf Betting YouTube

Overview

Unlike Football, the Golf channel followed the PGA calendar and served a smaller but highly engaged audience. The publishing cadence changed throughout the season, creating opportunities to think differently about timing, content selection, and audience expectations.

My Role

My responsibilities mirrored those on Football. I edited, published, packaged, optimized, and analyzed individual YouTube videos while helping establish the channel's publishing workflow from its launch.

Although both channels shared the FanDuel brand, the creative decisions behind each upload were shaped by the audience they served rather than a single content formula.

Results

The Golf channel launched from zero and established a dedicated home for FanDuel's PGA coverage. By adapting publishing decisions and packaging to a niche audience, I helped support the channel's growth while maintaining a consistent production workflow throughout the season.

What I Learned

Golf reinforced that YouTube strategy cannot simply be copied from one audience to another. The same production process can exist across channels, but successful packaging, pacing, and publishing decisions should always reflect the expectations of the audience you're trying to reach.

Overall Takeaway

Launching both channels gave me experience building YouTube systems rather than simply producing individual videos. I learned how editing, packaging, publishing, metadata, and audience analysis work together to shape long term channel growth.

More importantly, it reinforced a philosophy that continues to guide my work today. Successful YouTube channels are not built by chasing individual views. They are built by consistently giving audiences a reason to come back.
